Warts removed- Sore?

I was diagnosed with genital warts and had them removed yesterday. She used a kind of acid. She mentioned I would be in some discomfort for a while. I've been checking myself and touching inside my vagina (which is where the warts were) because it feels sore.

I'm worried the same person who gave me HPV also have me herpes (as we had unprotected sex, but he had no visible symptoms and claimed he was clean), but both Dr. Hook and my own doctor have assured me that testing is not necessary or in my best interest, as it's "more likely to be falsely positive than to indicate infection."

I'm wondering if the soreness I'm feeling, (no itching, no burning) is probably due to having the warts inside my vagina removed? Has anyone else undergone this method of removal, and if so how long does the soreness last? Could it feel worse because I've been touching it so much? Would herpes inside my vagina itch, burn, etc? I haven't felt any lesions of any kind yet. Thank you.

Well, worry is part of your handle so best to own up to it.  Just for the record, if you paged through almost every single persons first post on this site you would see person after person freaking out just like you and many times worse.  That's what we do. You think everything is a wart and it's tough to be rational because the fear and anxiety is so rampant. Do yourself a favor and get wise to it now. Remember that whatever you are thinking is going to be wrong and overblown.  You'll be fine.

Okay, thanks for the input. The vagina soreness has eased a bit and so I'm feeling better that this is probably normal for wart removal. I do however have a couple rough spot in my mouth? On is where I found a bump a day ago and I scraped it off with my nail, so I suppose that could be why. Another is over a bump inside my mouth below my teeth that I've always had. I've been running my tongue over it a lot recently though, so maybe that's why it feels different. I do see some white where I picked off the bump but it doesn't look like a blister or a sore. Any thoughts? Should I really find a herpes blood test despite advice from doctors? I just don't know how I can ever stop worrying.

Of course they are from the treatment.  That's what happens when you get warts removed from your vagina.

herpes sores should grow within 3-21 days, most likely below 2 weeks. It's true that some people dont get any sore when they got herpes but it's unlikely. The best chance is to wait until 21 days and if you never get any herpes sore, 95% you are free from herpes. Get a herpes blood test is always good though, i never knew it could be false positive.

I had an acid treatment yesterday as well, this does not remove them in a day, it treats the wart killing the root, and it takes about a week for them to go away. DON'T TOUCH them!! After my first treatment, I touched down there, and I was sore too. And they didn't go away. I don't know about herpes much, just the warts.
