how can I have gotten genital warts, if I was a virgin?

I recently went to the doctors and found out that I have genital warts...while I was pregnant I started to see skin tags on my private part...thought it was because of being pregnant. So I told the doctor and she said it could just be skin tags...didn’t pay attention to it much. Went on my with my life but then recently I started to see discharge of white stuff when peeing so I went to the doctors to see what it could be? So she  checked my vagina and saw that I didn’t have skin tags...I have genital warts. I told her I was a virgin when I lost it to my husband who was my first. He on the other hand had a previous gf for 8 years and was sexually active with her...I questioned him about it and asked if he has it or if she did? He said no and that she also doesn’t have it. How is it possible that I have it? If I have never had sex with anyone but my husband.

If you were a virgin,  then you got it from him.  Sometimes people don’t show symptoms and they can spread the infection.

How can he have gotten it? If he had only been with me and his previous ex? Could he have gotten it from her?
If he truly was only with you and her,  then he got it from her.  This takes for both of you to be honest and open up about your sexual experiences. When someone had multiple partners there is no point of trying to figure out who they got it from,  but since you were a virgin,  there is only person that could have given it to you.
