genital warts

helloi am 21years old female.I have been concerned about my genital warts. i first saw them on 17 december 2014.than i was on vacation and i didnt knew that they were genital warts i  thought it was just skin irritation  and i went on the gynecologist on february 3th after i come back from vacations.he told me i have genital wart. i also did a pap smear and cheked me for any infection. i had vaginitis my pap smear did not came positive fot HPV. for the genital warts he gave me condyline(podophyllotoxi). vaginits is gone but i have around two month that my genital warts keep appering new a week after the old ones are gone., i am very sad and i have no word to explain what i am feeling.. i quit smoking and i am trying to live as healthy as possible.i am free of other STDs because I regularly checked.i am a healthy person because i do check ups once in a year. I dont know what to do anymore with the genital warts. i think my warts are going to be with me forever.  i read on the net of people that have genital warts for very long period like 5 years and more. im very afraid of this thing.

Its only been 4 months since they became noticeable.  The average time for most people is 6-12 months or re-occurring warts. Some go 24 months. Five years is abnormal. Although not proven, the strength of one's immune system is important to recovery as is refraining from sex or using latex condoms if you have sex. Bravo to quitting smoking as there are studies that link that to more warts.

Reduce stress, get more rest, take vitamins and supplements, exercise often, eat healthy, stop or greatly reduce drinking, etc will all help your body to fight the virus. Do not give up hope. Everyone here went thru the same depression that you are experiencing now. Consider getting them frozen off or surgically removed if your doctor can do that. Or go see a dermatologist. The cream does not work for everyone. Eventually, they will come back in less numbers and then disappear for good. There are exceptions that get them for more than a year or two but they are not the norm.
