Anyone with an active wart who gets touched on that wart can infect someone. Self infection is possible but most doctors think it is when there are active warts.
whether by simply touching the skin or hold hands with someone who has genital warts or HPV can infect ourselves
What most doctors say (based on what I have read) is that virus can become dormant in 3-24 months. It is a range. This is for 90% of the people who get diagnosed with it. No one knows who is in this 90%. Some people get warts for years. After all warts are gone for that 3-24 months, most doctors say that you are no longer infectious. No doctor can predict how long that may be. Could be forever, could be for 20 years. That vaccine is only effective against the most popular strains and it only works if one gets it before age 26 or less. Especially before you have sex of any kind. This is why they are recommending the vaccine for children under 12. Before their bodies mature with hormones that can lead to sex (oral, genital, etc). If vaccinated after you have had sex, there is a possibility that you already have a strain. The vaccine only fights against strains that you may not already have, They are working on a vaccine to fight the infection after exposure. I read about it online but it isn't available yet.
but there are some who say that HPV can be killed by the immune bi within 2 years ... and if the wart has been removed, is the HPV vaccine can still function for the body
1, Yes, warts can be removed via surgery, freezing or creams.
2. Warts can come back any time in your life, but not everyone gets them again. No one knows why they come back or why not.
3. Most doctors believe that the virus remains forever in low levels clinging to DNA. This is why women can go from positive to negative and then back to positive.
4. Men cannot be tested at all except via a biopsy of a wart. Only women can get tested for HPV. :(
