Hpv-cervical cancer

Has anyone tested positive for hpv ( not warts-the kind that causes cancer) and eventually tested negative? If so, how long did it take you? I can't seem to rid my body of this virus:(

I was 17 when first diagnosed. My last two paps were normal. After three normals it's considered being completely out of your system...   I'm currently 35 years old. It took a while but it's better late than never.

I keep testing every year and it doesn't seem to go away:( I have had it for about 7 years and luckily it has not turned into cancer but I wish my body could fight it off.

My Pap smear was positive of HPV in 2013 and negative 2014.... Never tested positive b4 ( I don't recalled).  I never had genial warts but had warts on my fingers when I was little and thought maybe I body already had antibody to fight that.  My ex had gential warts b4 when we were going out but I never had it.  Hope this helps ....
