so i can't get cancer in my eyes or my nose from hpv?
what about other genital hpvs?
Listen to Alex, he explains it very well. You have no risk of getting genital warts in your nose or eyes, because it only infects the cells in the genitals.
Yes, there are many types of HPV that are transmitted sexually. Aime was pointing out the 2 strains of HPV that are responsible for over 90% of genital warts.
The types of HPV that are transmitted sexually have evolved to spread to genital skin through sex. These sometimes can spread to other parts of the body that have genital sex, such as the mouth, but it is rare, and would be through oral sex, as opposed to indirect contact like an unwashed hand.
Your scenario is not a risk. The risk of spreading HPV through touching is mostly theoretical, and is not often observed and the nose is not exactly a high risk area.
still... how do you know if you can't get genital hpv strand in your nose or maybe your eyes ? i think it's a possibility
Yes I know. 6-11 cause genital and oral warts. The rest cause high risk HPV in genitals which sometime lead to cancer and dont cause warts.
wrong there are 30 types of sexually transmitted ...
the types of hpv that affect the genital area are 6-11. These strains cannot infect other areas of the body because the skin on other areas isn't compatible with the virus.
6-11 strains only infect the genitals and rarely the mouth
