red blemish to pink bump

I appreciate a site like this, i was googling red bump on penis for the past week since i found this red spot/bump on the lower part of my shaft, close to my stomach rather than the head.  this is a bit embarrasing but im really worried, The day i noticed it i was masturbating without lubrication and  i had to stop because i heard someone come home, than this person left and i resumed, afterwards i went to the shower looked down and saw this redish spot, it was a little raised but was just red, and i would say it stayed like this for maybe about 4 days everyday i took a shower i noticed almost smaller than a pinhead of maybe puss came out.  Now there is no hair growing directly out of it but there is one growing to the start of it right on the border of the spot and where my skin is and when i pull on this hair it also pulls the bump up, it looked like a ingrown hair at first.
Now it has turned into a pink bump, when i shower now it seems like i can barley see it, once i get out and dry off it turns into a pink bump again, sometime it looks like there is a ring of skin trying to grow over it like at the bottom of a ingrown hair, the skin  goes away later and looks like a pink bump again, it doesnt itch, doesnt hurt, no bleeding, its just this single pink bump with no scab forming.  I have had unprotected sex maybe 2 years ago and i asked her if she has been tested and she said yes,she was clean, but i understand that she may have had it and not know because it can grow inside the vagina, i  made appointment from 6 days till now because he was booked.  Im not 100% sure but i may have had a bump like this before in about the same spot but it healed within a week to a week and a half no scabing, maybe from masturbation without lubrication again, this one has been here maybe for 8 days so far. sorry for the long post but im really scared about this bump, im wondering maybe its a ingrown hair, or i irrated something from masturbating without lubrication for a long time, or hpv or some form of herpes.  And in my culture if i get something like an std my life is pretty much over, so any reasurrance would be good but the truth would be best i guess.

I woke up one morning and saw a small group of bumps on my penis on the skin (not circumcised) and they hurt a little that day but then they stopped hurting and now the top of the bumps are turning pink like it's forming a new skin over all of them my girlfriend and I have protected sex but recently the condom burst for like one second, I live in a country with small minded people who put all ur business on there for the world to know even some doctors so I'm afraid to go by one so can anyone tell me what this may be

Update went to dermatologist because I was actually worried about these 3 moles I had on the side of my penis just above my scrotum and he said I have genital warts, I am devistated I don't know how I am gonna have a relationship, I hope it goes away in 1-2 years, he is freezing them off so I have to go back in 3 weeks, the red bump he didn't have much to say he didn't know exactly what it was so he sprayed too, the warts seriously look just like moles I couldn't believe it when he said the where warts

Ha no, it's not due to masturbation.  Trust me, just every guy in the world does that.  It's some kind of infection hopefully, and if not, it's a virus.  But I agree that it's not a wart because warts turn out to be very flesh colored... check out pictures online... they don't look the same.

I hope im in the clear RRMME and i hope you are too, im pretty sure its not herpes cuz it doesnt hurt, it wasnt even sore ever, im worried it might be genital warts but at least that goes away in 2 years i guess, but it just is driving me nuts waiting to see what the doctor is gonna say. but like alexdelong said warts never puss, so im really confused at to what it is, could be a cold sore on there where its not painful?  who knows i really think i caused trauma to that area through masturbation for a long period of time and no lubercation, with sweat as well, as embarrassing as that is going to be to explain to my doctor...

just an update, mine seems to be scabbing and going away... the scab is still very moticeable but it's less red and turning back to normal color... it's only been like 4 days since i first noticed, but i made sure not to pick at it or anything at all, so i think that helps.

after researching a lot, herpes is the only thing that i think comes close to this... i read that herpes will break open and crust over and heal... but it seems different too because this is only one bump whereas herpes usually comes in clusters, and most sources say there are other symptoms of herpes too like getting swollen lymph glands, getting the flu, and having lower back pain, but i had none of this.

mine also looks glossy on top when i aim it the right way at light.  it sounds like it's the same thing.  this morning it looks as if it's subsiding a bit even though it's about the same size... i think i'm going to wait it out.

no i have no scabbing, idk if its the light or what but sometimes it looks glossy on top and other times its not, just pink bump, but i hear hair cant grow out of a wart or herpes, even though its not directly from the center of the bump, its in the bump and when i pull on the hair upwards the bump pulls upward too, best of luck to u RRMME have u gone to the doctor yet or plan to?   oh and thanks for the reply alexdelong.

do you shave, johndou??  I think maybe it's related to that.  Mine also has skin growing over it, darker skin, kind of like it might be scabbing... then it turns white like a whitehead, which is what comes off easily in the shower... weird stuff, but maybe that's just how sores down there act when they try to heal.

No experts on this forum. You can post questions on the doctors forum, but there is a fee.

A couple of points.

1) warts don't have pus and can't be popped.
2) Having HPV or herpes won't affect you ability to have children. Transmission of either of those STDs to a child is very rare.
3) Having an STD shouldn't mean that "your life is pretty much over" in any culture. Really, it would only be your business (and if uncured, your partners should know). Keep your appointment, but my guess is that you have nothing to worry about. If you have an STD, get it treated and move on with your life.

I actually have the same exact thing I believe, just one bump, not really small but definitely smaller than a dime, and it is usually an open sore but eventually grows a kind of white head, and i noticed it comes off easily in the shower as well.  Yesterday I got it checked out at a cheap place attached to walgreens and the person said it was a wart and gave me all this HPV stuff but I definitely don't think it is.  I had something similar almost exactly 2 years ago and they said it was some kind of bacterial infection, and gave me a some kind of penicillin and within a few weeks it slowly went away... I am now almost convinced that's what it is after seeing the whitehead/puss stuff.  Also, I shaved just about everything 4-5 days before this happened, so I think it's related to that (even though I did have sex 3-4 days ago also).

One thing to note is that one slight difference is that mine is a little sore when touched... but aside from that your description is by far closer to anything I've come across relating to any disease or infection even.
