sex after hpv injections

I am a 49 year old woman who has had all three HPV injections, as my partner had genital warts. Are we now safe to proceed with unprotected sexual actiivty? I know I will not be protected against other HPV types, but I am assuming I will be protected from contacting the genital warts he has had. Is it safe for me to engage in oral sex with him?

4 months is the average time it takes for HPV to be diagnosed or for warts to appear.  I still don't understand what you are praying for. Did you sleep with more than 3 people before you had the vaccine at age 49?  If yes, then there is a 85% chance that you were exposed to the virus before you got the vaccine. And since there are no clinical studies proving any effectiveness for people over the age of 26, your protection may exist but it is not proven anywhere in the world,  For most, this is a non-cancerous and minor issue. Warts go away for 90% of the infected but the virus never leaves your body. Go ahead and hope for the best but assume you have it like nearly every sexually active person does. I don't care if you believe me or not but if you met me in a bar and told me you got the vaccine at age 49 and thought you were safe from getting HPV from me, I'd ask you to see a therapist for your insanity. Go read this link below and see what the CDC says about this age limit for the vaccine. The CDC don't lie about things like a virus.

I dont know do I have to believe you or not. Im very scared now. I did my pap smear yearly and always cm in normal result. But now I have new sex partner (not a boyfriend) and first we had sex around 4 months ago. But last time was in early september. I done my pap smear around 2 weeks ago and result is ASC-US. Why all of a sudden it appear as abnormal result? To be honestly im scared of hpv whatever it is especially warts. I am still hoping and pray that my vaccine works well and can protect me from hpv. But I have doubt now....

Yes it is true. Google it if you don't believe me. There may be some benefits to gettting the vaccine for older folks but to date, no results have been published anywhere for people over the age of 26. So it cannot hurt but there are no published trial results that documents what it helps. That is the cut-off date for proven and documented benefits. Sorry. I'm in my 50s and I gave up on getting the vaccine a long time ago.

Think about it: By the time people are 26, most have already slept with multiple partners. What is to be gained by the vaccine at your age?  Not getting a strain which you may not have already been exposed to is an outcome but if the vaccine only covers 4 of the 40 genital strains, then what's the point?

You said : No study has ever proven any protection from the vaccine for anyone over the age of 26. Your statement freaks me out. I am 39 years old and i done my vaccine at 2009 and it was Gardasil and now, recently, my pap smear result is abnormal wich is ASC-US. Is it true that  No study has ever proven any protection from the vaccine for anyone over the age of 26??? I am very worried now :(

No study has ever proven any protection from the vaccine for anyone over the age of 26. No one can tell you that they will protect you against any strain. Oral sex is a relatively safe sex act anyway. Good luck!
