skin eruptions in groin

I am 79 years old and have not been sexually active in at least 10 years.  I noticed some white lumps in the groin but paid not attention because as I age I get all sorts of moles, scaly spots, etc. on my skin. Recently these lumps have spread and the last two weeks seem to be growing faster.  One group looks similar to cauliflower.  There is some itching but no pain.  I have tried cortisone, triple anti-biotic and Lotramin.  Lotramin helps the itch.  I repeat I am not sexually active and have not been active for about 10 years.  My husband passed away 8 years ago and sex was limited before that because he had prostate cancer surgery.  I do not masturbate or have any kind of genital contact with others towels, etc.  Please advise.  I have made an apt with my family doctor, but would like some advice beforehand because I am so embarrassed.  Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Apart from genital warts these lesions can be skin tags, mollusscum or genital warts. Diagnosis of genital warts is usually clinical, made by visual inspection. Genital warts can be confirmed by biopsy but Sometimes we can use an enhancing technique called acetowhitening. This technique involves the application of 5% acetic acid solution to the area of suspicion for about 5-10 minutes. Infected areas will turn white.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
