Hi, my girlfriend (21) and I (24,m) have not had sex of any type together, the closest we have come is intimate kissing. But about a year and a half ago she had protected vaginal intercourse once with one guy, who had been sexually active with other girls before. She said she hasn't noticed anything "down there" since then, so she hasn't been tested for any STDs. But in the last couple weeks she has had some small red spots on her stomach, and then on her shoulder/upper arm. She went to the doctor and said they told her it was a virus that started with the letter P. She wasn't concerned because she said the doctor told her there's nothing they can do for it and it will just go away on its own. What I'm wondering is, does this sound like HPV? If so, is it something I should be worried about getting when we have sex? And should she be getting more testing done? She said she hasn't had a PAP done but I thought females are supposed start getting that once they've had sex? Any advice would be great, I'm just concerned about her health, and mine for when we have sex. Thanks!
