how to know if i have hpv?

Hello my question is how, where can i get tested for hpv/genital warts . Do they test you once you are pregnant. I had just a miscarriage last year could i been tested then. How long after sexual contact can hpv be detected? I'm asking because i have this little bumps inside my inner labia minora . I got them on 2012 and they haven't gone away. They don't itch nor they bother me. I'm just worried what if it is hpv. I was pregnant with my 2nd baby and had those bumps the doctor didn't say nothing is because they could only be seen if you strech out the skin. I researched they sort of look like vestibular pappilae something like that. Can someone help me please i had them i guess for two years I've been crazy worried about them.

A STD clinic or your GYN can test you for HPV. Average time from exposure to getting genital warts are 2-8 months. Some people get them early and some get them years later. As a woman you can get tested, Do it asap. Should you get a positive diagnosis, procedures can be done to remove the warts. You should refrain from sex until they are gone at least 3-12 months. Some people wait two years but most wait 3-6 months. Condoms do not prevent transmission but they somehow prevent more warts. And that is what you want as it will make you not infection at that time.
