My husband and I are pregnant with our second child due in mid november. We both agreed we did not want anymore children after our second child. I had my daughter in 2010 by ceserean, and i will be having my son november 2012 by ceserean also. I would like to know if i can get a full hysterectomy at the same time after my son is born?
Not likely. The cesaean hysterectomy is reserved for extremely high risk cases. In general the procedure is more complex when performed on the pregnant women and is associated with increased risk of severe blood loss.
