Bleeding after a hysterectimyi

I had a hysterectomy 3 wks ago ,uterus and cervix removed . I just cannot understand why I am still bleeding I went back to the dr did an ultrasound and a pelvic exam said I was ok and the bleeding will stop.if it doesn't stop within 5moreweeksi think something might be wrong   Anyone else have this problem?

If it's light brown and not red any more that means it's old blood. Hopefully that also means it's going to stop very soon. I would still see the Dr though if I were you.

Yes it does!nt look like blood anymore it is like a light brown discharge I am making an appt to go back. Need to make sure everything is ok so I can start exercising to lose some weight.

If I were you, I would'nt wait 3 more weeks. You might want to think about getting in to see another Dr this week. I'm glad to hear it's slowed down but you should'nt be bleeding this long. It's been over a month now, right?

No it has slowed down though.maybe in a another 3weeks it will .

Ithinkyouare right if it doesn't stop I will have to c another dr. I am not having sex or lifting

At 3 week post op you should'nt be bleeding. Did the Dr say if the sutures are alright? Are you following Drs orders and not lifting, taking stairs or having sex? If the bleeding keeps up you might want to see another Gynecologist to find out what's going on.
