Hysterectomy cost

Hi I am diagnosed with adenomyosis. I have bleeding almost everyday for 7 months now. I filled out the paperwork for a hysterectomy, but my insurance refuses to pay for it. I would be getting my uterus and cervix removed. How much do they cost out of pocket and is there any kind of financial assistance that would help me pay for the medical bill?

My insurance refused to pay for a hysterectomy for adenomyosis untill everything else had been ruled out. The problem with Adenomyosis is that it can't be 100% proven untill the uterus is removed and tested. So basically I had to jump through alot of hoops before insurance would pay.

Have you had other things ruled out? I ask because after all my years of pain and bleeding, once I had my hysterectomy and the testing was done, I found out I did not have Adenomyosis after all. No way to know what caused all my issues.
