I would like to avoid a Hysterectomy by having novasure

I am meeting with my doctor to discuss having the novasure on 02,10,2010.  I am 36 years old, mother of 3 pre-teen children, I have read a ton of comments on novasure{good and bad}. I am so torn. My periods leave me weak and unable to do daily activities. I have a lot of clots, but zero cramps [for the most part].For the week before my periods, I have a weak bladder. I can not live with this problem any more. Please tell me what your side effects were, if any. Thanks a bunch..

I also had the novasure ablasion. It didn't work for me. I still had a period for the first 3 months. It did finally stop but like Jitterbugg I had worse cramping and pain than before and I just had a hysterectomy on Jan 4. So it didnt help me but I have talked to a few women that it worked great for. Everyone is different. Good luck

Hi Welcome !  I have a hypothesis for you ask your dr if he can rule out andeomyosis..I had this  uterus was 3x normal size puts lots of pressure of bladder.

Also many large cramps is a symptom of andeomiosis ( similar as endometrois) its when outer and inner lining of uterus become thickened because of tissues being trapped..eventually makes uterus boggy and it starts to prolapse a bit//

if its ruled out and not this  adk Dr, if a D and C would help...if he says no.I would want to know if I was you the diagnosis before using a med..to mask symptoms..so a dignostic lap would be a good choice.

of corse we are not drs,,,just trying to give you good hints.

all the best
