Stopped bio cream

Hi, I'm glad I found this site. I am 49, and had a full hysterectomy at the age of 34. I was put on replacement right away. At 41 I got a blood clot in my brain. That stopped all hrt. Six months later I stumbled on an article about bio identical hormones. I found a doctor who prescribed them, and over the last eight years I have struggled with on going symptoms while using the bio cream (supposedly there are no clotting factors with cream).  So, I gave up taking it in October of 2012.  Well, over the last three months I have gotten worse and worse. I thought I had some serious illness.  I have had horrible fatigue, severe irritability, my mood is all over the place, and this is just a few of my symptoms.  So, today I came across an article on menopause and the symptoms that go along.  Duh!!!! I am having symptoms of not having hormones in me. It just never occurred to me that this would happen, I figured just hot flashes would be there. Hot flashes have been apart of my life since I stopped the estratest HR. The bio cream never really helped with with hot flashes.  So anyway after all this, I want to know if at my age is it even ok to start the bio hormones again, or should I just stay the course and stay off of them? I have looked thru the internet and I can't find information specific enough for my situation. Thank you so much for any information given.

Thank you for responding to my comment. The bio cream I was using had estrogen testosteron and progesterone.

Eventually the menopause symptoms should go away. It can depend on when you would naturally go through menopause.
Can you say what ingredients are in the cream? You do have to been so careful since you've had a blood clot.
