TAH went well , but is this normal afterwards ?

Hello all , well its been almost 5 months now since ive had my TAH  done . i feel great other than been having severe left breast burning /pain . and nipple soreness . does anyone one if thats normal after a TAH  because of some hormone  thing going on ? ntm found lump just below the nipple . i got  the burning sensation /pain 2 months after the TAH . but felt the lil lump months n months before . but didnt think anything of since gyn didnt  notice it ! anyways my hysterectomy was a suscess and everything came out just fine , but like i said except this burning in left breast . I was just wondering if its due to lack of or maybe change in hormones or something along those lines or is it possbily more than that ?

Yeah my gyno does want me to come in more regularly but I really can't afford it.  I see a dr enough over my heart, my son's Asperger Syndrome, my daughter's severe allergies to everything. So if I can avoid the dr's office I do!!!

I was hoping my dr appts. would decrease since my hysterectomy but instead they increased because apparently my heart isn't functioning correctly, but I'm young and they keep saying that they can fix my heart with meds. Sometimes I wish they could have fixed my uterus the same way. To many years of pain though. I was glad to get it done and be done with all that pain.

Please let us know what the dr says after your appointment. I hope all is well and it is just the hormonal change.

I had the same type of hyster a year ago this week and I have never had any problems with my breast. Please go get it checked out and let us know what the dr says. If it isn't to personal to tell on here.

I am glad to hear you do your monthly exams. I probably should since every woman in both my mom and my dad's side of the family has dealt with breast cancer. I guess I just think I am to young (26) to have to deal with any of this.

no my ovaries are still intact. he just removed my cervix and uterus .  due to fibroid tumors . many  of them too .  its just my left breast  that i feel this burning  sensation almost like when a doc gives u a shot and he tells u its gonna burn a little . that type of burning , expecially when i  lean on something or jump around ( dances with her children lol ) or when i press firmly to due my monthly exams  to feel if that lump has grown any or if it moves as i push around on it . i feel like i have heat coming from my left breast also .  the right one is fine it doesnt bother me . its just the left one.  i know my aunt on my mothers side of family died of breast cancer , i think it was a great aunt though, my grand mother  ( mother's side ) had cancer but not really sure were it came from cause she had bone cancer lung cancer and i think a few other cancers . she died at 66 .  i know i read about diabeties  being one of the signs of burning breast .   both my grand parents (mother's side ) had it and i know my mother has it . i do get sometimes  real bad night sweats , very tired and sworn out alot lately also , just not really feeling good . and sometimes i feel like i have a fever but it only goes to 99 .0  but i will find out wed.  what this is . and i thank you for your response ! ..... thank you ladybelle

Hi There,
Did you have your ovaries removed too along with the hysto? I think any lump needs to be checked with a mamogram. I do know people can develope cysts in their breast also, but you really need to bring it to the attention of your doc. If you had your ovaries removed, are you on HRT? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure the best way to answer your questions.
