I am glad you found this too! endometrosis is your diagnosis,,it means when uterine lining that should be shed from vagina during period instead (either totally or partially) comes into pelvic/abdominal cavity...the endo tissue is a bugger to deal w and it does some odd stuff..adhearing organs to each other is common.

I understand why dr did not do such surgery w/o being prepared..its a very slow and meticulous surgery..they do not want to risk even a pick to the intestines..

If you have extreame pain in ovarian area...much moe than normal,,,if you soak one pad in less than a hour ,,or if you get fever 101 or greater...go to the ER,

it seems to me 6 months is a long time to wait,,,endo tissue tends to grow at a fairly med-high rate..I would think the sooner the better.

best of luck]

OMG I am sooo glad I read this. That must be what my doc was saying maybe that is why I need a hysterectomy endometreosis. I was freaking out because I went in for laproscopic procedure to remove a cyst and she told me that my ovary was wrapped aroung my intestines and she could not do the hyster that day due to the tolls she has on hand so she did an ablation and said withing 6 months I would have to have a hyster. Anyway that makes me feel better.
Thanks

Please do not think the worst...there are a few things that could give you those symptoms.

I had ont of them..my uterine wall was 3x normal size...called andeomyosis,,you need a diagnostic lap to confirm this

endrometriosis..can land any where and attach one organ to an other..I had this before ando,,,my uterus was addhered to bladder and one ovary to bowel.  you could have endo tissue on back of uterus causing back pain

Pains shooting up legs are usually neurological,,Ie) sciatica.

I am not a dr..but thin you should ask your gyn if a diagnostic lap would help,,and for poster w leg pains I would advise you to see a neurologist.

Good luck

I'm older than you (48), but have had a lot of pain in lower back and pelvis, and bleeding issues.  My ultrasound also showed thickened uterine lining, and they did an endometrial biopsy to make sure no cancer.  It was negative, thankfully.  Have you had that?  What about fibroids or cysts?  Did the US show any of those?
