I had a total hysterectomy with ovaries removed Jan 2015.  My hip pain did not start till around 5 months after surgery.  It really hurts if I sit for too long.

Hip pain seems to be pretty common after hysterectomy, both in the short-term and the long-term.  When was your surgery? If it was recently, the hip pain could be from surgical positioning and may just take some time to resolve. I had pain in my right hip not long after surgery and it finally resolved but then transferred to my left hip which also eventually resolved. However, as time went on, my hips started hurting again from the gradual skeletal changes that occur after hysterectomy. My hips hurt especially after sitting too long.
