I am 50 yrs old and 2 1/2 yrs post menepausal

I am 50 yrs old and 2 1/2 yrs post menopausal.  I  went in for a regular obgyn check up the doctor ordered a US for adexal fullness.  I have no symtoms of pain or discomfort.  I had the US and was diagnosed with a thick uterus lining at 5.4 cm along with a 1.9 fibroid.  I'm scheduled tomorrow for a biopsy and I'm not so sure I know what to make of any of this.  My mammogram was ok, but my mother and my oldest sister passed away within 3 months of each other from breast cancer.  My father passed away of cancer also.  Trying to remain hopeful and calm but sometimes it's overwhelmingly difficult.  What should I make of this?

I just read your post.  How did the biopsy go and did you get the results back yet?  Best wishes.

I get that.  My concern is not the fibroids as much as being post menopasul with a thich uterus lining of 5.4cm.

Fibroids are not cancer.  Take your doctor's advice on this, and talk to him about your cancer worries.  He should be able to reassure you.
