spotting after subtotal hysterectomy
HI mam ,
On 9/7/2010 i had my subtotal hsyterectomy(VH ->SA)through laprascopy,right from my peration its spotting in light pink color for me...am really really DEPRESSED,for how manys days it wil bleed for me lik tis?its not an issue?or i should report tis to my OBSGYN?
i kindly request you to help me out by giving me a reply pls reply ASAP.plsssssssssssss

HI...i am a tad concerned about the color of your blood,,,post hyster should turn that yucky brownis after 5-7 days,,means old blood...Pink is fresh blood, Have you phoned Dr..you need to its likely you popped a few suteres,,especially in the surgical cuff ( the way they sew top of vagina shut after a hyster and cervix is gone)
ok about the depression..likely from the trauma of the hyster its a very very hard surgery, also the build up of the past pain is likely just to much for you, I get a real lot of women with this issue, its not to be taken lightly hard enought to recover without depression.
Also the sooner your treated for it the less chance of it becoming more serious
There is no shame or anything bad about asking Dr for help I think short term medication (anti depressants and maybe anti anxiety) would benifit you. Two things help also...you must sleep 8 hours give r take one ..and you would be suprised how very important nutrion is eat three protein filled meals per day, snack on fruit, or other healthy...common to get constipated from the pain meds and it could be the pain meds are not right for you may be contribuating to depression Ask Dr about this possibilty there are alot of pain meds if this is the case. Do NOT let this go untreated I cannot possibly stress how important...
Write down all symptoms, journal, take to Dr it will help you to remember and paint a clear picture for him.
