Hello
I am 40 yrs old, 2 kids.
I had a complete hysterectomy on 04-06-09, Lap/assisted hyst.
I am taking hormones called estratest.
When I woke up from surgery, I complained of pain in the urethra, I kept telling the nurse and that i felt like I needed to pee, she kept telling me "you have a catether"!...like I was a stupid person..
one week after my surgery I went to see my OBGYN for the same pain, he gave me cypro thinking I had a UTI
it did not help, I went back to the clinic and was given a 2nd kind of antibiotics, did not help.
results of urine test came back: negative, no UTI
after that I had a HUGE yeast infection, very bad...took 2 rounds of cream to get this fixed
I was still having the same pain in urethra and it was worst....so dr gave me a very strong antibiotic and the red pill (forget the name) to numb the bladder...it did not help one bit
the pain I have is very sharp like I have a blade in there and it is burning in the opening of the urethra and goes all the way up, It is very bad after urinating, pain is less when bladder is full, I have pain in the lower abdomen now from this.
I do hurt when I pee and sometimes only a small amount of urine comes out but it does not really feel like a UTI, the pain is really in the urethra....and I have it all the time...it is so bad It gives me nausea and migraines now
could this be from the surgery?
I have not have many infections prior to this...
could this be from the hormones I take?
should I stop taking those ?
any help is appreciated
