Referencing other websites in posts?

I recently posted a response to a question in the eye care forum, in which I suggested that the user take a look at a response to a question on Yahoo.  When I reread my post earlier today, I noticed that part of the URL I referenced had been replaced by "*****************"

Did I do something wrong?  If so, please tell me -- I certainly do not want to violate any rules.

Hi - we do have a policy against outside links without permission.  We don't have an issue with links to reference articles or things like that.  Our policy around links is to prevent solicitation and promotion of products and other sites.  If we find links to be solicitous, the link may be deleted. Please feel free to drop any moderator a message or use the "Contact Us" link if you have questions about any specific links. We'd be happy to help! :)

Never mind -- I read the Terms of Use and found the caution about referencing other websites without permission.  I sincerely apologize.
