Comments Disappearing/Reappearing

I'm noticing that when comments are being made they appear right when they're posted, then they may disappear so it looks like they were never made, then they reappear later... I've had this happen twice in the Thyroid Disorder forum on one thread... One comment I made yesterday morning disappeared, so I commented again last night; this morning, the original comment is back, but the second one is gone.  The original poster is apparently posting as well and her comments don't seem to be showing up, either.

This also happened in the Current Events group where some comments just disappeared, then later, suddenly reappeared.  I've been told this has happened in other forums as well...

Is this a known glitch that's being worked on?
Thanks
Barb

Greetings!

Often doing a full refresh (ctrl-F5 on pc) will make sure that the browser/server sync issues are resolved. If you continue to have issues with the site syncing please send a note to our support staff via the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page.

Hi Barb, I have seen this happen as well, sometimes the messages will get out of order so it appears that someone is answering a person who hasn't posted yet.  Confusing.

This could be a matter of servers syncing up - when a website's content is constantly changing (e.g., new posts), there can be brief lags between them.  One server may show the content while another may not have caught up yet.

Hi - I'm really sorry this is happening to you!  I dug around in your profile/prior posts a bit, and nothing jumped out at me, so I'm going to pass along your issue so we can get some more expertise on the matter.  Thanks for letting us know!
