Suggestions

Medhelp is great!  Here are a couple of suggestions I have:

- Additional Forums
- Autonomic Dysfunction
- Learning Deficits
- Carpel Tunnel
- Childhood Cancer
- Cystic Fibrosis

- Forum Moderator
- If there are forum moderators, users need to be able to identify them.
Possible Solutions: special icons, bold names, off-colored names, etc.

- Home Page Presented After Login
- visible alert on the home page presented at login about new email, or friend invites.
- visible link to a Medhelp tutorial for less technical users.

- Medhelp Tutorial
- Basic "how to's" on posting questions, joining communities, finding the inbox, etc.

- Profile Editor
- Additional text area for listing diagnosis.
- Additional text area for listing current medications.
- These additions will make users more likely to post such information, thus making it easier for the community to serve their needs when questions arise.  Additionally, it leaves more room in the "about me" section for whatever users want to share about themselves.

Thank you very much for your response.  I should have noticed that some of those ideas had already been implemented, sorry about that.  Keep up the good work, Medhelp is great!

Hi,

All great suggestions! We should already have a few of these, though...

We have community leaders in many of the forums. They are identified with a purple flower. If you look at the Thyroid community, you'll see ChitChatNine identified with a purple flower. Or in the Autism community, you'll see MJTheWriter identified as the community leader.

On your home page after login, new friend invites are called out in the upper right corner in a panel called Alerts. It would say something like "8 new invitations" if there are 8 friend requests. If there are new messages to read, the same Alerts area shows "1 Message".

Your suggestions for new forums, a MedHelp tutorial and additional profile information  were all good suggestions and we'll add them to our growing list of requests. And we'll let you know when the new features are available.

Thanks!
