1st tooth behind gum?

1st tooth behind gum?

Hi I have not used this forum before.  I have IP, and my 1year old daughter has it as well. I have been anxiously waiting for her teeth to come through and I have finally spotted one....however it is in the position next to where the lower front teeth should be but is growing from behind the gum instead of on top of it. Has anybody else experienced this at all?  I have teeth missing, and unusually shaped, but all of mine had grown out the top of my gums so was surprised by this.  Any help at all be appreciated.  I have an appointment regarding her IP on friday so will see what they say, but these appointments have been more for the hospital's research, so would value any personal knowledge.
Thanks again,
Emma

My daughter Rachael turned one in July and has finally gotten a few more teeth.  Around 9 months old her top two front teeth came in and they look ok....but around 11 months her two bottom middle ones came in and one of them came out towards the back too?? --not on the top of her gums? One of them is very far back and the other is almost sideways? Plus According to teething charts she should have gotten her bottom two teeth first? We have seen a  dentist once already and they will see her every 6 months. Her two bottom teeth are very small and pointy they called htem "micro" something because of how small they are. They did say also not to worry about what order her teeth come in. But because of IP from what I understand if there is baby teeth it doesn't guarantee there will be adult teeth in the same spot and that a spot where there is no baby tooth may still produce an adult tooth (is this correct?) hope this helps....

Hi,
My baby is almost 6 months old & seems to have 2 teeth coming out behind the gum but on the upper front side. I was concerned too and am wondering whether I should get this checked.
