The vaccine will not give you rabies. But if you are already seeing a health care provider for the shots, you can ask them at your next appointment and they should be able to reassure you that the vaccine cannot give you the disease.
hi vespasian, thanks for the reply.. But due to my anxiety, i actually went and took one rabipur injection yesterday.. Should i be concerned? I got to know that those injections are made up of rabies viruses. So will that give rabies if one doesn't have, i'm confused..

I am not an expert, but I have been reading a lot on rabies lately as my sister was recently bitten by an unknown dog. As far as I can tell, you have absolutely no reason to be concerned. ~If~ your friend was infected, it takes time (definitely more than 3 hours) for the virus to replicate and progress to the point where it reaches the saliva and could be transferred to you. So relax, you're fine. :)
