Well, it depends. If a person you are sharing a plate with is ill with any disease, then yes it is likely that you may get it as the infectious disease may transmit via bodily fluids such as sputum.

Thanks for your reponse. What diseases are common from food shareing? I dont know if the person has any, but I am a bit worried as they have unexplained colapses/passouts that the doctor cant explain or diagnose (not epilepsy). I won't be shareing again, but I am a bit worried as I shared a pasta with sauce. Not from the same fork but the same plate.
