Of course make sure to have them test your throat and vaginal area. where ever your symptoms and exposure are.

1.No yeast treatment will not cure gonorrhea, it is a different organism. Fungal treatment doesn't work on bacteria and vice versa.  2. Gonorrhea has become resistant. So, you will first get tested if positive then are you allergic to Penicillin? if not they will give you an injection of an antibiotic Ceftriaxone, and a pill Azitromycin. Then you will wait to see if you have symptoms over 1 week. If you don't have symptoms you will be ok if you have symptoms after one week you should get retested. In my opinion you should get retested in one week after treatment is over since women don't always show signs of infection right away. Remember, often times you can have co-infections. This is very common especially with Chlamydia.

Thank you,i'll be going for the tests. Even though i haven't gone yet i'm positive that i have gonorrhea because today i noticed  that i also have infections on my throat like i saw in many pictures in the internet and with that said i have two questions 1. I'm taking yeast infection treatment, can that cure gonorrhea too? 2. How long does it take to cure gonorrhea? I don't know how long i've had it but i'm having abdorminal pains everyday now

Hi, and sorry you have this problem. Have you had unprotected sex? Also, does the discharge smell like a fishy odor? It could be an STD such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea or Trichomonas. You should get a PCR or molecular based test for these. If these come back negative you should get tested for bacterial vaginosis. These can be caused by gardnerella vaginalis and some other organisms (which are not STD's). If these are all negative write back to me here.  You could have yeast plus one of these organisms or a couple of the other organisms. It is common to have more than one. They can treat you based on the types you have. None of these organisms heal on their own except Gardnerella and yeast. But it is best to be treated for all of them. Gardnerella can cause pelvic inflammatory disease so you do want to find out if you have this. If you use a douch stop using this and just wash the outer areas. Douching changes the Ph and causing an imbalance in the bacteria in the vagina leading to organisms like Garderella causing infections.
