When I was a few months old (between 3-8), I ran a high fever of 107.5 F which then reached to 108 F the moment my parents brought me to the hospital. The thing is, I have no idea if I were exposed to high temperatures (if I was left in a car, my crib was next to the window, etc) and I also have no means of finding out what happened (my parents won't tell me).
I've wondered if my having a high fever as a baby resulted in severe anxiety and depression. Of course, I was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder in December 2014 and I am on 2 medications (Lexapro and Hydroxyzine). No one I know of in my family has been diagnosed with this disorder and it just struck me out of nowhere that I'd have such a thought. I've been hospitalized twice for a mental evaluation due to severe anxiety and panic in the past. My medication now seems to be helping a lot.
If anyone could please help me find out anything more on this, please let me know. I'd like to know if the fever affected a part of my brain and if it led to my being bipolar.
