painless left groin lump, ping pong ball size

hello every one
I am a 39 yo male, have a painless almost firm left groin lump in a size of may be 2-3cm .I found it accidentally 1 wk before. It doesnt dissapear  with lying or resting. I checked other lymph nodes, didnt find any other one.I didnt have any risky intercourse recently just in months or yrs back, some french kiss or rubbing sexual organs but no penetration.I had no STD history.
My first concern whether it can be HIV,
what are the most common differential diagnoses
and then what to do now?should I wait for a while may be it dissapears

Well, that is great news! I have rosacea as well. It may be a different kind but it is manageable. Glad it isn't anything serious.

Today got all my results back.hep B,hep C,HIV 4th generation,Syphilis, chlamidia, gonococ , all totally negative ,thanks god.

DIGNOSIS:PITYRIASIS ROSEA

which some times gives lymphadenopathy prior to rash ,then itchy skin ,then herald patch(which was on my forearm) then target like rashes, and more seen with people w history of pityriasis ,which I had 4 yrs back.

The oral test is about 93% sensitive. I prefer the 4th generation duo assays if you are still worried. Otherwise you would be clear.  Well if you were to get tested I would get a Hepatitis B and C. B is more likely than C. But you should do it only to clear you mind. The symptoms are not really typical of hepatitis. It could be any infection causing the groin lump. They tend to last a long time even after the infection is gone. The neck pruritus may be allergy or some type of contact dermatitis or something else. I wouldn't really worry about HIV causing this, especially since you tested negative and very low risk to start with. It is all  about making you feel better.

It doesn't sound like HIV. I would see  a dermatologist for it. Still regarding the rubbing the two penises together. If you are certain there was no fluid it is probably ok it is up to you to decide if it is safe. I can't decide that. Just say that if you think body fluid were exchanged then it is a risk. Also regarding the dildo. Do you know what the person cleaned it off with just water and soap?  I think 10% bleach is safer to do between people and it has to be on there for 10 minutes because of Hepatitis too. Then after that clean with soap and water. 10% bleach kills viruses much better than soap. So if you don't know for sure what is going on it is unsafe. So there is always a risk with these kinds of practices. You may want to get tested from time to time For all STD's if you are going to continue these types of things. You don't know who was using them before.

now I also remember that that almost 9-10 weeks back I was with a domiarix and she used a dildo,I guess she washed the dildo and it wasnt used for I guess almost 2-3 hrs,as I was late for session and she was waiting for me( I guess).she also used fingering but with new gloves and lubricant.so I can say almost 4 wks after that I noticed this swollen node in my groin taht now is almost here for 5 wks from time at least I noticed.the itchiness around my neck started 3-4 days ago.I didnt see rash, but I had bad itchy neck that I scratched it,now it is scaly, now it is like an eryhtematous area, with one pink scaly patch 2 by 5 cm(I guess due to scratchng)and 2-3 other erythematous itchy little smaller patches on lower neck all in lower neck above sternum(thought may be it is pityriasis rosea with herald patch ,or hodgkin, but also may Be HIV rash?).

Do you think you got body fluids into your penis by rubbing them together or did you just rub them by hand? You don't have to have an orgasm to pass STD's. If there was risk by possible exchange of body fluids, you should get a 4th generation HIV test to rule it out. It is not likely after that amount of time that you would have one single lymph node and no other symptoms. But if you think you exchanged body fluids from penis to penis, I would just check it once and not worry too much if you can.  I'm not sure about other STD's. Some of them can cause no symptoms and then you may be fighting it off and get a swollen lymph node.  If you want to you can test for Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea, as well and see if these three are all negative. If these are negative you can also test for Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplamsa genitalium and since your testing get Trichomonas too. Any kind of infection can make the lymph nodes swell. They don't always swell in pairs. Do you have any pain or burning on urination or frequent urination? If not then you probably don't have a urinary tract infection. Do you know if your partner has any symptoms? It not as likely since you don't have any symptoms but it is possible to transmit these bacteria and viruses this way. After testing I would not worry about it any more though. I would then get the lymph node checked by a doctor to make sure it isn't something else besides a lymph node since it is hard. Or that it isn't a clogged lymph node or tumor. I guess you can test for Herpes as well. But it may be past infection for you. If you do Herpes type 1 most of us have it already so the IgG would already be positive whether it is oral or genital even if you never had sores. It doesn't always show up on some people. But type 2 IgG antibodies would be new if you never had it before so it would good to get that too. That pretty much covers every thing. I'm not trying to scare you or say you have any of these rather just to have you get the test done if negative you don't have to worry about these things.

Well, it could be a large lymph node. Since you have no other symptoms you should probably get it checked out. You don't really sound like you had any risky activity. When you say rubbing sexual organs could you have been exposed to the other persons body fluids? Or was it just fingering? If so I wouldn't worry about HIV or other STD's.

We are not doctors on here but I can try to give you advice. Swollen lymph nodes can come and go. Usually, they are a sign of some infection in your body but could be any type of infection. Some times they are due to a blocked lymph system, immune disorders like rheumatoid arthtritis etc. and and other reasons.

Do you you have any other symptoms such as fever, night sweats or any symptoms like having a cold, flu like symptoms, sore throat? Any swelling in the leg?

Is the node hard and fixed to the skin and rapidly growing or stays the same size?
