Urgency to urinate when standing and mild to severe joint pain

About 5 months ago I noticed that I had an increased need to urinate. Probably about 2 to 3 times an hour. This started pretty suddenly and I made me concerned enough to go the Dr's. I had my urine tested and it came back initialy as positive for thrush, I had a second urine test done to confirm It wasnt contaminated some how and this time it came back negative. I went away none the wiser. After a few more weeks I experienced abdominal pain in my right side, as If my intestine was inflamed somehow, This compounded with a worsening urination problem made me return to the Dr's.I had my prostate examined and he said it was slightly enlarged but nothing to worry about. Something that I also mentioned was my hip pain which I had tolerated for a few months but now this had also worsened to include both joints and also my hands. When I explained this to the doctor I felt like I was just being a nuisance. The final development is that now the urgency to urinate is brought on almost instantly when I stand. Sitting down I can feel fine but as soon as I stand feel a pain that I urgently need to urinate, Despite not actually urinating that much when I do go.

This Situation has really got me down as I dont want to do anything active as I feel a pain in my bladder that is only temporarily relieved by urinating.
I dont know how to go forward with this as my doctor, I am overweight but I have been bigger in the past, although I have put on quite a bit of weight recently as I have successfullt given up smoking.
