Abdominal/pelvic pain

I am a 42-year old healthy female and was diagnosed with IBS 2 years ago.  I was prescribed 20 mg Doxepin, which worked remarkably well for the intestinal pain.  About 4-5 months ago, the pain recurred, although slightly different.  It is now lower on the right side, more in the pelvis area and is unrelenting.  I went to my GI doctor, who ordered additional meds, and an abdominal/pelvic ct scan with oral and iv contrast.  I went to get the scan yesterday and the technician was unable to successfully start the iv, so she performed the ct without the iv contrast.  My question is, is this a problem for me and will I have to have a 2nd ct scan with iv (hopefully performed by a better technician)?

Well try not to be overly concerned. You cannot predict tomorrow.

Thoughts are with you. Stay in the moment, i do not know why you had apparently had your ovary removed. also try not to search for all the answers on the net. It will just leave you more confused.

Yes, I drank the 2 barium drinks.
Strange, I just got a message from my GI doctor, stating that there is "something" going on with my right ovary.  He wants me to have an ultrasound and more blood tests next week.  I called his nurse back to inform her that I did not have a right ovary, since it was removed 2 years ago due to cysts.  Now I'm worried.
Thanks for your concern.

Did you have 2 drink barium b/4 the exam or anything given 2 you? The iv usually is to make sure you are hydrated.
