Thank-you for your reply. I did do some reviewing of the symptoms and asides from the "obvious", my stomach was very tender. It would seem that as well as the IBS acting-up, I was also experiencing a flare of my gastric reflux disease. Once I returned to the medication for this....my symptoms have become manageable again.

Hi, check to see if any changes in diet are causing this. Maintain a food diary and try to identify those foods which are likely to produce these symptoms and avoid them. Besides, irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) other causes which can produce these symptoms include malabsorption, inflammatory bowel diseases and various infections of the colon. If your symptoms persist, please consult your primary care physician for further evaluation. Regards.
