Im waiting for my dietician to get in touch, many thanks x
p.s i put this as eating disorders because im not entirely sure what it is actually called.

I also got IBS around 13/14. Try seeing a naturopath, I went to one and I got a blood test and discovered I had developed an intolerance to dairy. Sometimes you can develop food intolerances and get horrible pains hours (usually 6-8 hours) after you have eaten a certain food and have no idea what is wrong. So no one "knows" yet what IBS is, but I am pretty confident that most people just have intolerances to certain foods, maybe ones they have been eating all their lives with no previous symptoms. So before taking a bunch of medication try and discover the cause, and get a blood test :)

Hi and I too have had IBS hit me hard. I went to the VA Hospital where they gave me all the tests and found nothing like Cancer so they said try this. It can even be bought over the counter. LOPERAMIDE.. It come in 2MG pills. I started with it 3 times a day but it helped alot but made me constapated. I break the pill in half and take once in morning and once at night with supper and it really help 75%. It did wonders for me and maybe you should try it too. Just see what amount you need to do its job. Remember if you take too much it will give you constipation so watch it until you find the correct dosage that works for you...

I was just wondering if they gave you anything for the IBS?? I know there are many differnet meds they can prescribe for IBS. I take 3 different meds and they stabilize the IBS but I am also lactose intolerant and still eat dairy bit with caution and that could give me a nad IBS attack (what I call them). They are very painful. There is a med that they have for stomache cramps, you might ask for them. I dont know the name off the top of my head but it is belladonna something.
