Intense stomach pain

I have intermittent pain in my abdomen.  I starts off like a cramp and  feels as if someone is twisting my guts. the pain is intense, I usually have to fold myself in half or stretch out and lay absolutely still until it passes nothing seems to work. it just has to run it's course.  I would say they last from 1 to 3 minutes. I have never timed them, but it  hurts like hell.  I don't know what causes these, they just happen.  I can say that it's not from exercise. sometimes it just happens while sitting down.I have described it to my sister as when your pregnant and the baby kicks you and then moves around, it's similar to that only more intense. the pain scale is a 20.   Has anyone else experienced something like this?

hi
for the past year i have been getting these on and off stomach and back attacks. i get a lot of intense pain in both areas and it is really painful which usually leads to vomiting. it had happened 4 or 5 times within a year. recently it has been worse because i have been feeling a constant sickness for about a month now with back pain and stomach pain. my doctor says maybe its irratable bowel syndrome. my organs are fine i already had them checked out with a cat scan and an ultra sound. im not sure what else it could be.

Well Im not a doctor but have you had the inside of your colon checked for irritated rips or anything like that? Cause if your bowls are starting to move and the toxins inside are being pushed and pulled past these spots it would prob hurt like heck.... When you go see the doc you have to ask them to check it.

i have had something like this for about 7 years.  i feel like i have to go poop (as we call it at our house) and then i end up naked, laying on the shower floor with the cold water running on me, its terrible, painful and the palms of my hands feel like they're on fire.  i feel like i would probably faint if i didnt use the cold shower.  i believe mine for some reason is related to something i ate earlier, not sure yet what that is.  the pain and twisting of my stomach and colon is sometimes unbearable.  i have learned to keep suppositorys handy, after i poop i feel better but can sometimes take 2 days to feel alright.

It sounds like I have the same pain I also take Bentyl. When I feel that way I try to have a bowel movement. It is very painful during but It helps you feel a lil relieved when you are done a lil sore and warn out but the pain and sourness in my stomach goes away after I have a bowel movement. If you do try to go to the bathroom when you have this feeling be carefull with the pain and how hot you might get at least thats what happens to me. I have fainted before because of it. It helps to take deep breaths and close your eyes and have a cold rag to put on your face. at least thats what helps me out. Also if you feel the feeling comming on try a couple of tylenols it helps take the edge off a lil don't do ib prophin since that can upset your stomach more. Make sure you drink lots of water it keep the inside of your bowels moist to have softer bowel movements, let me know if this has helped in anyway..

I have the same path of pain. I sit up straight, hold on to my legs and let the pain pass. Bentyl helps ( I think ), but nothing takes away the pain. I feel like a stretched soaked towel being tightly squeezed for every drop of liquid. Once the pain has slowed down and I can breathe I do feel I need to have a bowel movement. I feel exhausted, tense and constant thirst. I also feel pain surrounding the back of my hips.
I will take a skelaxin thinking it will smooth out the pain but really nothing helps.
