hubby hasnt pooped in 5 days

my husband has not pooped in 5 days and he's in a lot of pain is there any help out there any advice that I could get it for himI bought him doe colax yesterday and still nothing he's taken 2 does one yesterday 1 today and nothing please help

Continue the Colace and use the Miralax daily.  If nothing in 3 days, use the Mirakax 2-3 x a day

This happened to me but for over a month!  Nothing would work until an ER doc told me to double up on miralax... Meaning.  Take the full dosage of miralax (17g) in the morning and another at night.  Drink water all day.  Eat fruits and vegetables and small portions of non fried chicken.  Go on 30 minute walks every day.   Try to relax and not stress about it.  Hope this helps.  I thought I'd never poop and that I would die and I'm here :-)
