kidney colic

I had a kidney stone the surgery was 3 weeks ago, I'm still feeling weak and getting pains in my kidney. My question is why am I still having kidney spams after the kidney stone was removed?

I had surgery to remove a large kidney stone and it took weeks to get over it.  When I left the hospital I had a tube in my kidney coming out my back for a few more days.  I also had a stint in.  Once the stint was removed I had spasms for a while.

It took quite a while to feel like my old self again.  However, that feeling did not last long.  I started having pains in my side/back again, so bad I could hardly walk.  When I went back to the doctor he did x-rays and found the tube in the kidney was closed up and I had to go back in the hospital again to have another stint put in and get high doses of anitbiotics cause e-coli had set up.

Long story short, after 6 months I ended up losing that kidney.  It took about 6 weeks to get over my first surgery and you may just need time to get over it.  But you know your body better than the doctor.  If you feel something is wrong or doesn't feel quite right, get the doctor to check it out.  Better safe than sorry.

Did you have lithotripsy or exactly what was it called that they did?
