kidney and bladder stents

i had a stent placed into my kidney and to the bladder and a byopsi they are going to remove the stent on monday i have been in alot of pain also ,i want to know the way that they take this out and how long do i have to wait before sex? i had no idea it was going to be so painfull....

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The post op inflammation and swelling could be causing the pain. As this settles, the pain should come down. Sometimes the pain could be due to an infection, so if the pain is worsening or if you develop additional symptoms like fever please consult your doctor. The stent will be removed through cystoscopy. In the meantime take OTC pain killers to help with the pain and plenty of oral fluids.
