Swollen neck lymph nodes ?

it all started like 2 months ago for no apparent reason.
i had lots of swollen lymph nodes on right side of my neck and head with the biggest one located in the center of my neck.
now after 2 months all those small went away, but the biggest one is still there.i think it got smaller but maybe i just forgot how big he was before.
i did all the blod work and everything was ok,no STD's,no HIV ,ect.
also i've don a chest X-Ray and everything is ok there too
i visited dentist,ENT doc and everything was fine !
now my doc doesn't know how to help me !
should i be concerned about it anymore ?

So I'm guessing your doctor probably told you that since the other nodes went away there probably isn't a reason for concern.  That would be my guess too.  However, if the remaining node doesn't go away in the next couple of weeks, you might ask about having a biopsy.

I'm in treatment, and I have improved. Not sure of my long-term prognosis, but hope for a cure or long remission.
I wish that I had insisted on a lymph node biopsy when the nodes persisted being swollen instead of listening to the doctor who wanted to wait and wait and wait...  That said, watchful waiting is often done and the lymphoma is treated when it begins to present problems.  Not sure that it hurt me in the long run.
Like Mochadelicious, I recommend that you insist on their taking a large sample or an entire node for analysis.  The needle biopsies often do not have a large enough sample to make an accurate diagnosis.

yeah,i guess you're right.if the last one won't go away in like 2 weeks i would probably go to biopsy.
your whole story sounds scary to me,are you ok now after all these years having a cancer ?

Not to alarm you, but I had a similar situation. I am a teacher and I woke up with swollen lymph nodes one morning, and figured that I got some kind of little infection from the kids at school. After a while the lymph nodes went away, except for one on the side of my neck.  I went to the doctor, to a surgeon, etc. and they wanted to just watch it. They said it might be cat scratch fever (though I had none of those symptoms). Finally, it went away, or mostly went down to a normal level.  Several years later though, I had swollen lymph nodes all over, and I was diagnosed with lymphoma. Now, we know that it was the beginning of lymphoma.
As Mochadelicious points out, the only way to know is by biopsy.  The biopsy that I finally got was not bad, not painful.  I believe that it may be worth it to you to know that definitely (1) it is NOT a problem or (2) or it is a specific problem (lymphoma or something else).  If there is a problem, it's better to know sooner rather than later.  I bet you are fine, and I wish you good health.

Good!  I'm glad it's going away.  Biopsies aren't so bad.  I've had 1 punch biopsy and 2 excissional biopsies (where they take the whole thing out).  They give you drugs to make you go to sleep for excissional, which is what you should push for if you have a biopsy.

Take care,
