Did they say anything about his neutrophils being high and how high was his WBC. One more thing, did he have frequent nose bleeds, and frequent bacterial infections. I am concerned about my child.
Thank you
When we found out my son had leukemia, thay first sespected by his blood test..but the onley way you can be sure is by haveing a bone morrow test..If thay sucpect you have leukemia thay will give you a bonemorrow its a 100% sure
To my knowledge, generally blood tests - CBC with differential and if those indicate a possibility of leukemia, then a bone marrow biopsy. Once there is a sucpision of leukemia, they tend to move pretty quickly so that treatment (if needed) can be started as soon as possible.
After that, one is monitored by repeat CBC regularly during treatment, and then every few months after treatment.
