Belching/Hiccups, Bile Reflux?

Hello:

I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis about 2 years ago.  Liver was stage 2 bridging fibrosis in biopsy.  AST/ALT was at 2200/1200 - is normal now.  Have been belching for some time now.  I am not on any medications.  Belching is a mix between hiccups and belching.     All my blood-work (LFTs, CBC/RBC/WBC) comes back normal, except for slightly low platelets.  I have petechiae (ie little burst capillaries) all over my chest and back - and getting new ones every couple days.  I would think this was just because of low platelets, but this is a recent onset and I've had low blood platelets for as long as I can remember.  I had an upper endoscopy and everything looked normal, except for some erythema and bile stains in the antrum of my stomach.  I have no heartburn at all.  Is the bile reflux the cause of my belching/hiccups/petechiae?  I would appreciate anyone who has had similar issues giving a suggestion.  Thanks,

I was recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver.  I, too, have the horrible little broken caps on my chest, also face and back of hands.  I have lots of broken caps/veins in my ankles as well.

I never drink.  Never.  My "heaviest" drinking years were about 12 glasses of wine a year....a YEAR!  I have no precursors which may have indicated a tendency toward cirrhosis.

Anyway, I've been belching a lot lately and was wondering if they were connected.  Ever since I was a kid I had what I called "hiccaburps" where you burp and hiccup at the same time.

JFYI my spleen is enlarged as well and I have low platelets, like everyone!LOL  We all bruise easily, don't we?  I HATE the broken veins, though...I guess I want all my illness on the INSIDE!LOL

Have your spleen checked and have you been tested for mono?

For the past few years I've had chronic hiccups.... sometimes up to 1-2 times a day. I also have petechiae on my chest, but I always attributed it to smoking. :(
This week I went to my GP for being lightheaded while at work.  Well we couldn't really pinpoint what was making me lightheaded, but we did find out my liver enzymes were elevated.  I only drink maybe once a month?  I'd heard in the past that indigestion and hiccups can be linked, but I had never been able to really tell if mine were.  When I googled Hiccups and liver enzymes I came across your post.  This isn't really a suggestion, but it did sound slightly similar.  My GP just recommended that I come back in a month to make sure they were going down, but I'm slightly worried.
