Bilirubin is 2.7

I am a healthy 29 year old male who doesn't smoke or drink.  I have had a recent blood test and the results have come back with an elevated total bilirubin count (2.7). All other liver functions are within the normal range. Is the bilirubin count 2.7 can be ignored and there will not be any threat to liver diseases. what is the normal range for total bilirubin.

If it was a low grade hemolysis I would expect to see low hemoglobin and/or red blood cell count?
Generally when you're looking at a possible hemolytic anemia a haptoglobin test and a reticulocyte count are ordered.
On all of the lab reference ranges I have seen have a total bilirubin of 2.7 would be elevated but since you're in India I have no idea about the ranges there.
I would ask whether a fractionalized bilirubin test might be appropriate. That tests breaks down total bilirubin into 1) direct or conjugated bilirubin and 2) indirect or unconjugated bilirubin.
Gilbert's disease will show an elevation of unconjugated bilirubin whereas liver issues generally show an increased conjugated bilirubin.
The fact that your other liver tests were normal suggests non liver issues but there are no results shown aside from total bilirubin.
Good luck,
Mike

Most labs differ in their ranges. Consult your lab report or your doctor for the ranges - min to max. I do not think that you should be unnecessarily worried by the high bilirubin.  The most likely diagnosis is Gilbert's disease, a benign, congenital disease, in which there are abnormalities in the removal of bilirubin, a breakdown product of hemoglobin.  Gilbert's disease is found in about 5% of the population and is often an incidental finding, as may have occurred in your case.
The other possibility is that you have a low grade hemolysis [premature breakdown of the red blood cells].  A combination of blood tests should be able to determine if you have hemolysis.  If you are anxious regarding the bilirubin, contact your physician ask for the hemolysis workup to be done.
