My aspartate aminotransferase came back at 208 What does this mean?
Your levels are normal so this is great of course. Your HDL level is a little low but this can be improved by adding some exercise into your daily routine. Talk to your doctor of course but people can raise their HDL levels with consistent cardiovascular activity. Your liver numbers are good, no problem there, but exercise with a proper diet will reduce the fatty content as well.

Fortunately AI Hep is detectable with a series of serum tests, which your doctor will know about. So talk with him/her and get the evaluation done that you both agree up on. There are many conditions that need to be sorted through though, getting to the proper diagnosis is essential.
It is possible to have a chronic liver disease but have a normal lipid profile. No biliary impediment along with a normal bilirubin/bile metabolism will lead to the this.
Fatty liver isn't due to alcohol alone, it's just a factor. And in your case, likely a small portion, but the diet is also a big factor. But, as mentioned, it's all very "fixable", and can be turned around in less than 6 months.
Wrt any AI possiblities, your doctor will need to test a variety of things: ANA, SMA, etc. If you want to post your levels, liver panel as well, we can help in assessing whether or not what possibilities are in play. Be well.
Thanks for your support... But I was not a heavy drinker I use to drink on weekends.. my doctor says your condition is due to combination of alcohol and non veg...my confusion is my lipid profile triglycerides, cholesterol all values are very low so how it is possible to have fat on liver....my worry is of thinking autoimmune liver disease is it possible???
A slightly enlarged liver while drinking for a long period of time is typical. You will develop fatty liver as you've mentioned. But everyone is different, so having a low lipid level is certainly possible, others will not be so lucky. And fatty liver is a very correctable condition, it just requires less alcohol with a proper diet, coupled with a moderate exercise routine, It can be turned around in less that 6 months sometimes! So good luck and hope you'll be another success story! Please let us know how things go and we're here to help.
