Liver Abnormality Test

Hi I am a male, age 29. I had to get a blood test done at the doctor's office last week for Arthritis screening. That part came out normal but my liver function is 92. The nurse said it should be 39 or below. I am worried sick. The doctor wants another blood test and an ultra sound of my adomen.

This is all of the information that I could get.

Now, I did drink the night before. I am terrified of needles and I couldn't sleep so I had a few drinks before midnight when I was told not to eat or drink anything thereafter.

Did that cause the abnormality? It's seems pretty obvious to me it could have. I had no idea they'd even check my liver.

Anyone know anything? I'm really worried.

Just called the nurse again...

ALT is 199 (<40 is normal)

AST is 92 (<40 is normal)

So if the ALT is higher than the AST then it is NOT ALCOHOL related... Does anyone know what it could be???

I'm 29, I have a 13 month old son and a wife. If anyone knows anything I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks again- I'm going to look at the internet.

I just spoke to the nurse again, she said that the 92 is my AST. She said that my ALT is elevated but offered no numbers.

Thanks,
