Abnormal Liver Ultrasound results

hello everyone,
I recently had my results back from a ultrasound for my liver and they came back abnormal (that's all they said).

I am male, 27, fit and healthy (diet could be better) and in the armed forces(only drink 2-3 alcoholic drinks on the weekend) please read below and comment if i should be doing something different

I will start from the beginning, In January i fractured a couple of ribs skiing and a couple of days after the accident i started to feel unwell (doctor has dismissed my ribs to be involved at all).

I felt unwell for roughly 6 weeks (night sweats, run down, fuzzy/lightheaded and loss of appetite).

i had 2 sets of blood test which both came back with elevated results for my liver (the second slightly higher than the first).

Doctor ordered me to have a liver ultrasound and a chest x-ray (for limph-node glands since they are enlarged).

Went back to doctors who had results, she stated that my x-ray came back normal but my liver results were "abnormal" so she is making me see a ears throat nose specialist for limp-node glands which are still enlarged (did state to her that is fairly normal for me).

last week felt unwell again but only lasted 3-4 days not sure if it was quite the same as before but there were similarities i.e. night sweats(not as bad)

she stated that she will start looking at this as a case of possible rare cancer.

i have also have had blood tests for white and red blood cell count and for hepatitis which both came back normal

Is my doctor doing the right thing, is there something i should be doing/asking?

any advice would be appreciative.

I'm not a doctor just a fellow patient. Unless you were drinking the night before both of your tests which would affect your liver test; if I were you I would go see a liver doctor.  While I think it is great that you did not test positive for Hepatitis it does sound like something is going on with your liver.
You want to see a GI who specializes in the liver.
How are your platelets?  Just curious. In addition to my liver enzymes being elevated I had low platelets which caused my GP to send me to a blood specialist.  He tested me for Lymphoma, Leukemia and Hepatitis.  I had HCV.
If I were you I would stop drinking, at least for now, until you find out what is going on.  Try to drink lots of water to help your liver function better.
I hope you will let us know how you are doing.
Take Care, Dee

Can you get the report of your ultrasound of the liver?  They normally say more than it is abnormal but doctors often think we are too stupid to understand.  If I were you I would ask for all blood work :)

Hi, an update for you. I can get a copy of med results, but it would take months since I'm in the armed forces I would have to apply to Hq for them and then it would have to be signed off by various people. Also forgot to mention that I have fatty deposits in my lower back which they said are harmless, they seem to be shrinking slowly now. Just incase someone thinks it could be linked
