Hi, I just found out that I had a lesion about an inch big on my Liver..Not counting the 4 small lung nodules they found while getting the ct scan.. I lost my Mother in 2010 to stomach cancer..I'm getting very worried...Just would like to talk to someone bout this...
I also have high blood pressure, take two pills a day for that..I have not felt well in a long time haven't been able to work since my Mother died..I stay very depressed and on meds for that To make a long story short my body is telling me something. and I'm only 40 years old and feel 60...
What would you do bout the Liver and the Lung Nodules??
Thanks Jennifer Jill....
Hi, I am curious how things turned out for you. I am in the exact same spot. Stage 1, small melanoma removed 3 yrs ago. Just found out I have a lesion on my liver and fatty liver (I am not obese nor do I have diabetes or drink).
Thanks,
Hi. If I were you, I'd see either a Gastroenterologist or a Hepatologist to not only get a second opinion but to determine if you can wait on this. I think I'd see a Hepatologist as liver problems is their specialty. Benign and malignant lesions share many of the same symptoms and further evaluation is needed now. But most liver lesions are benign, I've had one for many years. But they can be malignant, so I would see a specialist and ask what needs to be done, if nothing...ask why? If he tells you it's nothing to worry about ask how does he know this? Write down your questions and don't leave his office until you have a full understanding of what this is. Benign liver lesions can grow to a point of intruding against other organs and this is why they are monitored. If this happens then of course the lesion needs to be removed. Mine hasn't grown in 15 years. I can't imagine any doctor waiting on a malignant lesion, but I've seen a lot of medical negligence with my son. Because of this I learned that 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions are needed. We need to stay proactive with our health and questions things, you are right in doing this. It may be nothing to be concerned with, but you need to know this and feel comfortable with what they tell you. I wish you all the best and hope you get some answers. Take care.
