SGOT Range

I have tested my sgot and found out that it increases by 1.6 points. Normal range is 38 and i got 39.6 is it dangerous? How can i lower it? Thanks Godbless.

Fortunately these levels are only very mildly elevated, if at all. In some labs your levels would be perfectly normal. Your doctor will likely want to monitor your liver enzymes every 3 months or so, just to see if there is a persistent, chronic elevation, that would warrant a more detailed look. Keep in mind that your SGOT is not specific to your liver exclusively. If you have injured any of your major muscle groups as well, this can cause an elevation as well. Hope all is well, take care.
