BTW, I do not drink and am negative for any hepatitis.
Thank you very much! My doctor also suspected that fatigue could cause elevated ast/alt, but he thought my levels are a little too high. So he ordered abdominal ultrasound and the report found a possible 9x8x9 mm hemangioma (see the image at http://s4.postimg.org/5gd4fidz1/1_13_2015_10_20_19_PM.png). The report also says "But in the setting of elevated ast/alt, a MR or CT is suggested". I was wondering how bad this size of hemangioma could be, and I doubt that there is any relation between it and my elevated ast/alt. Any further info/suggestion is greatly appreciated!
Hello, do you drink? Drinking before the test could have caused the elevation. I would have suggested medications, even tylenol but you said you did not take anything.
Have you been tested for Hepatitis? A B C?
I am just another patient trying to come up with ideas.
Water is important to help the liver work well.
I hope you can find some answers. What did your doctor say?

Typically the range for normal AST is reported between 10 to 40 units per liter and ALT between 7 to 56 units per liter. Mild elevations are generally considered to be 2-3 times higher than the normal range.
You should have the test repeated in a few months to see if they have gone down.
