liver area pain

Im a 23 yr old male
I have been having some minor liver area pains and i found out that a few of my relatives had their gallbladders removed so I went to have all those test. the test showed that my gallbladder was working 10% below normal and the surgeon did not reccommend surgery. Well I also went to my chiroprater who took a stool sample and when the results came back he told me my liver was stressed and gave me a supplements to take and told me to stay away from alcohol for awhile. I have been staying away from alcohol but on new years i had a few drinks. I still get the little liver pain but now sometimes pain where my pancrease would be too.

any ideas?

Did they do any liver function blood tests? to see if the bile back-up was causing your liver to swell at all?  A good G-I / Hepatologist will know pretty quickly whats happenning - or should

Definately get a second opinion, if you haven't already.  I really wonder what kind of training goes on behind the closed doors of med schools...

hey there,

i was told 2 years ago that my gallbladder was functioning 10% below norm..Felt awful..5 months later it ruptured, both ducts full of stones and I was in the hospital for 6 days. now I am dealing with high liver enzymes. Gallbladder ruptures are inherent in my family as well. Seek a second opinion. I wish I had..

good luck..
